District 6 Newsletter 8/5/25

It’s the first day of school! Please join me in wishing all of our students, teachers, and staff wonderful growth and success this school year!

As we all prepare for East Nashville’s own home-grown holiday this weekend, I wanted to share a quick Tomato Fest update:

As our festival grows every year, traffic and parking become increasing issues as well. In an effort to encourage folks to take transit to the festival, I am excited to announce that WeGo and I have partnered up to make the #4 Bus free to ride all day Saturday!

Most of District 6 will be walking to the festival, of course, but our friends and families from around town can use this convenient, free, option (and here is a link to a map of the route of the #4 in case they need it). So please share this opportunity with them so we can keep Tomato Fest accessible, safe, and cool just the way we like it.
